Our story

STI Myanmar College holds a top private education license granted directly under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations. The college is partnered with the University of Bedfordshire (UK), delivering British franchised curricula and UK-validated programs on Myanmar soil.

Our five faculties — Engineering, Business, Health Science, Education & Linguistics, and Computing & IT — offer pathway programs from Foundation through to Master's level, all designed with the Myanmar student and global career mobility in mind.

With three campuses across Yangon, Mandalay, and Nay Pyi Taw, STI Myanmar College brings world-class education within reach of students from every region of Myanmar.

Founded

STI Education established, offering diplomas in teacher training, business management, and English language.

2013

Expansion

Expanded to three campuses with over 1,500 students enrolled across Yangon, Mandalay, and Nay Pyi Taw.

New Campus

New purpose-built campus opened in Mandalay. Four faculties established to meet growing demand.

Governance & Structure

STIMU's governance structure is designed for effective decision-making, with shared responsibilities among the Board of Directors, Academic Board, and Executive Management Group.

Board of Directors

The highest governing structure — composed of five qualified members from telecommunications, ICT, real estate, healthcare, and academia. The BOD acts as one body, providing strategic leadership and overseeing academic and corporate governance.

Josephine Khin Aye Win

Managing Director

IT and telecom veteran with over 10 years of leadership experience. Computer engineer trained at UCS(Yangon), NTU Singapore, and MIT. Led nationwide telecom infrastructure projects. Auditor and executive committee member of Myanmar Computer Federation.

Dr. Myo Myo Naing

Executive Director

Former Associate Professor at UCS(Yangon) with over 10 years of academic experience. Published numerous international papers in computer engineering. Executive committee member of MCPA and Chair of its International Committee.

Patricia Khin San Win

Executive Director

Successful entrepreneur in IT and Telecom. Co-founder of Myanmar ICT Development Public Company Ltd. Founded one of Myanmar's leading IT companies in the mid 1990s. Served on executive committees of MCF and MCPA for 18 years.

Dr. Cho Mar Lwin

Executive Director

Associate Professor at University of Medicine (1) Yangon. Holds M.B.,B.S, M.Med.Sc, Dr.Med.Sc, MRCP(UK) and FRCP(Edin). Academic Secretary of Myanmar Rheumatology Society and member of APLAR.

Dr. Kyaw Thura

Director

Senior Specialist Registrar at Royal Perth Hospital, Western Australia. Holds FRACP(Australia), MRCP(UK), MRCP(Glasgow). Wide clinical experience in internal medicine, endocrinology, nephrology and haematology.

Academic Board

The governing body responsible for all educational services and academic affairs — approval of new programs, faculty policies, academic standards, and strategic academic plans.

Composed of Faculty Chairs, Department Heads, Dean, SQA Chair, senior teaching staff, Student Council and Alumni representatives. Meets weekly to oversee academic performance, teaching quality, and strategic progression.
